Abstract


This study aims to determine the principal's strategy in increasing teacher creativity in the learning process, knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the principal in increasing teacher creativity. The type of research used is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data were collected using interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy in increasing teacher creativity in the learning process at SD Negeri 1 Padang Cahya is holding monthly office meetings, evaluating teacher performance, teacher training, subject teacher deliberations (MGMP), seminars, information and learning-based workshops. technology (IT), assisting teachers in solving problems encountered in learning, establishing communication, providing exemplary examples and directing teachers to use teaching variations such as variations in teaching styles, developing learning media, developing teaching materials, teacher interaction with students and developing learning methods.
