Abstract
Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is a policy of the Minister of Education and Culture, which aims to prepare students to acquire various fields of knowledge that are needed when entering the working world. MBKM is a form of learning that wants a fundamental change towards the implementation of a better and quality education. This study discusses the implementation of the MBKM concept to build student character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the MBKM program in the Study Program of Environmental Engineering Institut Sains & Teknologi AKPRIND, in developing students character. The method used is: descriptive qualitative. The results in this paper are as follows: First, the implementation of MBKM in the study program of Environmental Engineering gives students freedom to develop their talents and interests. Second, the implementation of MBKM in the Environmental Engineering study program wants to provide real experiences for students in dealing with life problems. Third, shape the character of students: professional, responsible, disciplined, tenacious and problem-solves.
